Education

I graduated from Midwestern State University in 2003 with a degree in Kinesiology and History.  In the summer of 2003 I went back to MSU to work on post-bacculaureate courses and currently have 21 hours of upper level English.  I am certified in ELA 8-12.

I graduated from Lipan High School in 1999 as class salutatorian.

Experience

This is my 11th year teaching/coaching in the Brock Independent School District.  I was hired in 2004 after spending my first year teaching at City View ISD in Wichita Falls.  While at Brock I have taught all levels of English as well as Health, Journalism, and Media Literacy.

I am currently the Head Girls Basketball coach as well as Head Boys and Girls Cross Country coach.  I also serve as the UIL Journalism coach at the High School.  The events that I coach are Editorial Writing, Feature Writing, News Writing, and Headline Writing.

Bio

I am married to Tonya, who is a 2nd Grade teacher at Brock Elementary.  We have four daughters (Rainey, Rylee, Reanna, Rendy) and a 5 year old boy (Jett).  I became a teacher because I wanted to have an impact on the lives of teenagers.  I like to challenge students to reach their potential in the classroom, athletic environment and life.

In my free time I love to spend time with my family, travel, and attend sporting events.  I am very blessed to have a great family, friends, and coworkers.  I truly enjoy being a part of the Brock community.
